Absorbing Knowledge

Our class began learning about the Scientific Method by watching a clip from the movie Monty Python. We identified the different steps involved in the Scientific Method and the different parts of a scientific experiment. We learned about how to apply those concepts to our Science Fair projects and classroom labs.

Following this idea, our assignment was to find a way we could answer the question: What kind of paper towel absorbs the most liquid in a spill? We had to design our own experiments. We were provided with some materials for testing. We had to design a project were we had to use the scientific method to figure this out.

Each group had to plan out a procedure to follow, little did we know that we would not be following our own procedure but instead we would follow another groups. so we could learn the importants of having specific procedures. We had to order the exact amount of materials for the the project because we were not allowed to add to it.
